| As the Earth Federation pushed the Principality of Zeon out of the Earth Sphere and back towards their homeland, they needed more suits to help bolster their forces alongside the brand new GM Mobile Suits. To that end, the E.F.S.F. modified numerous Worker Pods to become the RB-79 Ball. The Ball was only armed with a simple 180mm Recoiless Cannon and was weak compared to even the Zaku II. However, they were cheap to manufacture and easy to send out. However, by U.C. 0083, many Balls were phased out completely as more Mobile Suits became the norm. |
